Detailed, smooth 3D prints.

At Polygenic Studio, we have the latest 3D print technology in house, with the ability to create highly detailed, smooth finish prints, fast. Having this technology in-house means we can deliver quickly, even incorporating those last minute design changes.

The build plate size.

Overall maximum single part dimensions (L x W x H) 294 x 211 x 144 mm.

Materials.

There are a number of materials available, we always stock rigid white for all of our prints and recommend applying a paint finish to really bring out the detail.

Cost.

Prints are priced based on volume of print material and required support material. 3D prints can be hollowed to a shell with drainage holes to reduce cost while still achieving the same level of detail.

As a rough guide the model pictured, 20 x 50 x 100 mm and a 3mm wall thickness would cost approximately $155 +GST. Excluding finishes.

Lead times.

Need it fast. No problems. If your files are ready to go, prints can be produced within 48hrs, ready for pickup or delivery. Typically you will need to allow 1 week for any re-modelling, if required.

File types.

Stereolithography (.stl), Step (.stp), Rhino 3D (.3dm), Autodesk Autocad (.dwg or .dxf)

We can convert most file type or if you don’t have a 3D file ready to go, we can produce that for you too.
